These two MHS students have been dating for 11 months, and simply by interviewing them, it is clear to see that they are made for each other.
The senior pair, Adam Katz and Natalie Diacavo, are both active members of the MHS music community, as well as leaders in the world of academia.
Katz, known affectionately as “Funkmaster K” by his funkapella group members, is president of the National Honor Society, president of Tri-M, a member of Varsity Tennis, Varsity Swimming, the school’s jazz band, and is co-president of Funkapella with Diacovo.
Diacavo, or “Funkmaster D”, is involved in The Sound, OSR and winter track (just to name a few).
In addition to their plethoras of extra-curricular activities, they both enjoy pastry and muffin making.
The two met in second period Choir during their sophomore year, when they were paired to sing a Christmas duet together. Ever since, they have shared hilarious times together, such as in September, when they battled it out to see who would win in an epic fist-fight (Katz was victorious).
The pair shares their love of music by participating in the choir/swing choir, as well as their love for learning, as both will be attending Ivy League universities next fall.
As interesting as their lives may seem to an outsider, during my investigations, I uncovered shocking secrets that the each claimed the other would “not want the Globe knowing”. Diacavo snores like a wild beast, and Katz is a “snugglebear” and has “a huge man-crush on Sawyer from Lost”.
Well there you have it, the standards and secrets of MHS’ featured couple: a pair of musically inclined wiz-kids!
