Mrs. Laise (Mrs. Lekowitz) is a new math teacher here at MHS. Graduating from Rye Neck High school in 2009 and growing up in Mamaroneck, Mrs. Laise is familiar with this area. She is currently teaching Algebra 2, Topics in College Math and College Calculus. This is her 12th year of teaching. She majored in Mathematics at Fairfield University and her favorite class was senior year AP Calculus AB. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Laise enjoys visiting her family in Calabria, Italy and loves the beaches there. She also loves watching movies– among her favorites are Home Alone 1 and 2, and a fun fact about her is that she took the SAT here at MHS in 2008!
Mrs. Domo is teaching her fourth year of 10th-grade English, her first at MHS. Originally from New Rochelle, she earned her B.A. in Literature from SUNY Purchase and her Masters of Arts in Teaching in English Education from Manhattanville University. Her favorite classes were her Psychology and Literature class in high school as well as her Gothic Art and Literature class in college. A fun fact about her is that she has a one-year-old black cat named Willow. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys eating sushi, spending time with family in Lake George, N.Y., and watching her favorite movie, Good Will Hunting.
Coach Brownwell is a new Health and PE teacher at MHS. She was born and raised on Long Island and now lives in Connecticut. Growing up, her favorite class was physical education. In college, she minored in K-12 Physical Education and majored in K-12 Health Education, which is exactly what she’ll be teaching here at Mamaroneck. She has been teaching for 12 years. Coach Brownwell has a strong passion for photography and enjoys spending her summers traveling the world and taking pictures of the sights she sees. One of her favorite places to travel to are the Galapagos Islands. Her favorite food is spicy guacamole, and he has a profound love for the movie Legally Blonde–so much so that she has watched it more than any other movie.
Mr. Mizrahi is a first-year physics teacher here at MHS. Originally from Rockland County, New York, he has been teaching physics for three years prior to MHS and has a degree in physics. Mr. Mizrahi travelled to Switzerland last summer, where he participated in an extensive research project which deepened his love for his career in physics. A fun fact about him is his love for pizza, which he calls a classic and his all-time favorite food. His favorite movie franchise is Star Wars, specifically Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.
