Claire Reilly:
Claire Reilly has participated in The Globe beginning in her sophomore year, being both reporter and managing editor for the newspaper website. She has been on the yearbook committee, was president of both the Sharing Shelf Club and Photo and Design Club. She spent time outside of school on the cross country team. Reilly will be attending Clemson University in the fall.
Siena Ferguson:
Siena Ferguson has been a member of The Globe since freshman year, being a reporter and Editorial Director of the newspaper. She is very passionate about her OCRA project, which is aimed at getting more allergy friendly options available in schools. She is president of the CHAT tutoring club at MHS and has played soccer since her freshman year. Outside of school, Ferguson enjoys skiing and running. In the fall, Ferguson will be attending Villanova University.
Juliet Wei:
Juliet Wei spent her entire MHS career as part of The Globe being art director and creating New Yorker style cartoons. She played violin and viola in both MHS’s Chamber and Symphony orchestras, and also did String Buddies for all four years of high school, helping elementary school kids learn string instruments. She was in the OSR program for her freshman and sophomore year, and later volunteered at the nearby Marine Education Center. She competed on the Girls’ Varsity Swim and Dive team, and outside of school, she loves to read. Wei will be attending Princeton University.
Eva Langer:
Eva Langer has been a member of The Globe since sophomore year, starting by drawing and creating art online for articles. She continued her newspaper involvement by becoming a reporter her junior and senior years, writing for a variety of sections. Her creativity shines through in her extracurricular hobbies, which include PACE. She spent ample time rehearsing for Soundscapes and Kinesthesia, as well as for school musicals every year. On her own time, she loves learning new songs on both the guitar and piano, cooking and baking on the weekends. In the fall, Langer will be attending Marist University.
Riley Schapiro:
Riley Schapiro has been a part of The Globe for three years. After spending sophomore and junior year as a general reporter, she became the Managing Editor for the Op-Ed section as well as a copy editor in her senior year. She plays Varsity Tennis and Unified Basketball at MHS, joining both teams in her sophomore year. She is president of the Jewish Student Union and is an active member of the TOPS program. Outside of school, she is president of the local BBYO chapter, a Jewish youth organization, in addition to being a trained volunteer for Teen Talk App. Schapiro will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall.
Carl Albano:
Carl Albano is attending the University of Chicago this upcoming fall. Since junior year, he has been a section editor for the op-ed section. At the school, Albano also participated in Model UN, Mamaroneck Public Radio, the Beekeeping Club, Policy Debate, the Bird Watching Group, and OSR. Outside of school, some of his hobbies include bird watching and writing poetry.
Eva Fernandez:
Eva Fernandez will be attending Colgate University in the fall. She began writing for The Globe junior year as a reporter. As a senior, Fernandez was Section Head for Features. She stayed involved in school by being a member of several clubs, president of Clay Club and running on the cross country team all four years. Fernandez’s hobbies include running, baking and listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family.
Teagan Hanrahan:
Teagan Hanrahan has been on The Globe for two years, and this past year she was Features Section Editor. She played varsity lacrosse and field hockey at school, and, in addition to being on The Globe, she is in the Ocean Conservation Club and Feeding America. Outside of school, Hanrahan enjoys running and reading. Hanrahan will be attending Middlebury College in the fall and continuing her lacrosse career, playing D3 lacrosse there.
Anna Grimm:
Anna Grimm will be attending Bucknell University next year. She has been a reporter on The Globe for the past two years as a junior and senior. Anna is involved in a number of clubs at school including Students for Senegal, and outside of school she enjoys playing tennis.
Eliana Schnapp
Eliana Schnapp will be attending Elon University next year. She joined The Globe in the spring of her sophomore year as a print reporter and then became a copy editor her junior year in addition to continuing as a print reporter. In addition to The Globe, Schnapp did track from freshman to junior year, has an OCRA project centered on overcrowding in pet shelters and she was president of the Meals on Wheels club. Some of Eliana’s hobbies are working out, spending time with her dogs, hanging out with friends and family and traveling.
Teagan Young
Teagan Young has been part of The Globe for two years as a writer. At MHS she was heavily involved through serving as NHS treasurer, president of Stand Up To Cancer, a member of Sharing Shelf and a member of the Culinary Club. Athletically, Teagan played softball in the spring and ran on the cross country team in the fall. In her free time, she likes to read, listen to music and hang out with friends. This fall, she is planning on attending Indiana University.
Gabby Robb O’Hagan:
Gabby Robb O’Hagan has been on The Globe staff for the past three years. She began as a features editor before becoming one of the website editors and the Managing Editor of the website and formatting departments. Outside of The Globe, Robb O’Hagan is the president of the Photography and Design club, Impressions Magazine, Slice Marketing, and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee. She is also a member of the OCRA program and worked on a project to raise awareness around domestic workers’ rights. Lastly, she has been on the Mamaroneck ski team for the last three years. Robb O’Hagan will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder in the fall.
Nathaniel Kulish:
Natel Kulish has been on The Globe staff for all four years of high school. He was a features editor his sophomore year, section head of sports his junior year, and a managing editor for sports and editorial his senior year. Outside of The Globe, Kulish is the president of Make a Friend, a peer leader, the president of the Community Resource Club, and an intern there during the summer. He is also a writer for the Larchmont Living magazine. Kulish plays lacrosse and soccer and played on the teams for all four years of high school. For fun, he enjoys cooking and biking. Kulish will be attending Vanderbilt University in the fall.
Rebecca Shapiro:
Rebecca Shapiro joined The Globe in the second half of her sophomore year as a reporter. During her senior year, she was a copy editor and opinion section editor. Outside of The Globe, she co-founded the Epilepsy Foundation Club. She has also been on the varsity bowling team since her freshman year. Outside of school, Shapiro enjoys reading, listening to music, making pottery, and trying matcha from different cafes. Shapiro will be attending McGill University in the fall.
Jack Chiaravalle:
Jack Chiaravalle has been a member of The Globe for two years. He was the section editor for Features his junior year, and this past year he was Managing Editor for Features and Arts & Leisure. Outside of The Globe, Chiaravalle was a part of the OSR program and did an internship at Weill Cornell Hospital. He was also in FBLA for five years and competed nationally. Outside of school, he loves to read, cook, and play volleyball. Chiaravalle will be attending McGill University in the fall.
Ethan Arfield:
Ethan Arfield joined The Globe in his freshman year and has served in many positions. He was a writer for the Health and Wellness section, Website Director, Copy Editor, and Managing Editor. Outside of The Globe, he was a part of peer leaders and a member of the Wounded Warriors Club, Sports Trivia Club, and Pitch in for Baseball Club. In his free time, Arfield enjoys skiing, cooking, and playing baseball. He was also a Ball Boy at the U.S. Open. Arfield will be attending Boston College this fall.
